Contemporary Irish Theatre and Performance
This June, Dr. Granshaw will be in Ireland and Northern Ireland attending and researching contemporary Irish theatre and performance for the development of two new courses for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years. The Contemporary Irish Theatre and Performance courses for undergraduate and graduate students will investigate performance's role in representing, debating, and negotiating major social and political issues facing the Republic and Northern Ireland, specifically in relation to migration, globalization, and conflict. She received a European Studies Center Course Development Grant and a UCIS Hewlett International Grant in support of her work. She will offer an undergraduate seminar based on her work during the Spring 2019 semester.
